Del Friscos

May 28, 2018

I've been to Del Frisco's once and ever since that glorious day I've been dreaming about going back. The first time I went to Del Frisco's it was my 22nd birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday; easily in the top 3 birthdays of all time.

What we ordered:
  1. Cheesesteak eggrolls
  2. Red velvet Belgian waffle
  3. Southern Fried chicken

Gotta get the angles.

In 24 years, this is the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. PERIOD! I usually don't like the cream cheese drizzle used for baking but the one on the waffles didn't bother me.  The bacon was beautiful! I need this bacon on all the burgers I will consume in the future. The waffles would have been great with only the bacon, even if I didn't order the southern fried chicken. The southern fried chicken was also so delicious! Almost a 1: 1 ratio for the chicken and waffle pieces. This was such a filling combination. If you're going to order this, don't play yourself, wear a loose dress or outfit.

Every single thing on my plate was a stand out!
This is the meal I dream about when I think of treating myself after a major accomplishment or when I finish a tough semester.

The cheesesteak eggrolls, also divine.

As mentioned previously, it was my birthday. The owner of the location happened to be there and we ended up getting free shots. But wait, there's more! There was a couple sitting across from us that sent over a pitcher of mimosas to say Happy Birthday!
How stinkin sweet!

I forget what these were called and they're no longer on the menu. It was shredded pork on a bread with a slaw of some sort. These were alright, wouldn't have ordered them for just me.

The atmosphere was very relaxed. We didn't have to wait  when we arrived because I made a reservation.

My birthday this year falls on a Tuesday so no weekend brunch for me. However, I will be visiting again in the NEAR future. I deserve it after this last school + life year. (*insert nervous sweating + laughing emoji*)

Del Frisco's is a fancy brunch spot! They offer other types of food too, but I haven't tried anything else on the menu.  Anywho, definitely a place you want to dress up for. It's a little more on the pricey side so also a celebratory/splurge meal spot if you're a working student!
