Lulu's Nitrogen Ice Cream

July 12, 2018

Updated list of things I always want to eat:
  1. Doughnuts
  2. Ice cream
  3. Slushies
  4. Chili cheese coneies
  5. Crispy plantain
The heat and humidity in Miami are no joke. So staying hydrated and cold food are essentials.
After walking around at The Perez Art Museum we decided to grab some ice cream before heading to the beach.

I had never tried Nitrogen ice cream so I was interested to see what the hype was about.
The shop was located in a quiet shopping plaza. Lucky for us, the shop was empty so we ordered as soon as we walked in.

What I ordered:
  • 2 scoops of Mango sorbet with graham cracker crumbles on top.
Once I picked my flavor the cashier picked up a jar and "eyeballed" what she thought was 2 scoops.
She then poured the liquid nitrogen into the mixer. The bowl was smoking for maybe 1 minute. After the smoke subsided the cashier allowed the mixture to do it's thing for maybe another 2 minutes before she turned it off.

I definitely could have gone with 3 scoops. Everything was perfect! The graham crackers were perfectly crunchy and the mango tasted freshly picked + blended.
This reminded me a lot of  Mango Talenti.
It's a little pricey so I'd buy a tub of Talenti, blend some graham crackers and make my own version at the house.

I definitely wish I would have tried 2 different flavors!
If you're ever in the area check them out!
